Variations on Browder ’ S Theorem

چکیده
In this note we introduce and study the new spectral properties (Bb), (Bab) and (Baw) as continuation of [7, 8, 12] which are variants of the classical Browder’s theorem.

A note on a theorem of F. Browder
A particular case of a mathemat ical theorem of F. Browder on the behavior of the fixed point set o f a mapping under variations o f a parameter has recently found applications in programrning theory in connect ion with the abstract (non-linear) complementar i ty problem (see Eaves, [2, 3]). Two relevant extensions of Browder 's result are provided: The first asserts that, under smoothness assu...
متن کاملA New Generalization of Browder Fixed Point Theorem with Applications
In the present paper, a new generalization of Browder fixed point theorem is obtained. As its applications, we obtain some generalized versions of Browder’s theorems for quasi-variational inequality and Ky Fan’s minimax inequality and minimax principle.
متن کاملNew Versions of the Fan-browder Fixed Point Theorem and Existence of Economic Equilibria
In 1961, using his own generalization of the Knaster-Kuratowski-Mazurkiewicz (simply, KKM) theorem, Fan [2] established an elementary but very basic “geometric” lemma for multimaps and gave several applications. In 1968, Browder [1] obtained a fixed point theorem which is the more convenient form of Fan’s lemma. With this result alone, Browder carried through a complete treatment of a wide rang...
متن کامل6 Generalized Browder ’ S and Weyl ’ S Theorems for Banach Space Operators
We find necessary and sufficient conditions for a Banach space operator T to satisfy the generalized Browder's theorem, and we obtain new necessary and sufficient conditions to guarantee that the spectral mapping theorem holds for the B-Weyl spectrum and for polynomials in T. We also prove that the spectral mapping theorem holds for the B-Browder spectrum and for analytic functions on an open n...
متن کاملHow constructive is constructing measures?
We investigate variations on the problem to construct a measure with a given support. The variations include the available information about the set, whether the support has to be precisely the given set or merely a subset, and whether the measure is required to be non-atomic. A special case of particular importance is the Frostman lemma, which links having certain Hausdorff dimension to admitt...
